Another very early morning - coaching Russian lyric diction for some Rachmaninoff's songs.
With all the unspeakable tragedy that is happening right now, it was so hard for me to keep doing it. But then - a few wonderful singers reached out to me and asked for audio recordings and coaching sessions.
And as soon as I sat down, opened the scores and started to sing this music and to talk about it, I finally felt my motivation to keep going again - for this beauty and in the memory of Rachmaninoff and Tchaikovsky.
I am deeply grateful to all the musicians, opera companies, music competitions and other organisations who do understand that Russian art has nothing to do with the reckless actions of the current Russian government. And I am praying for peace every single day.
